Nathalie Emmanuel
Nathalie Emmanuel was a British actress who was best known for playing Missandei on HBO's fantasy epic "Game of Thrones" (HBO 2011, 2011-19). Emmanuel lived in Southend-on-the-Sea which is a beach resort in Essex and found herself drawn to the performing arts at an early age. Her mother quickly took notice that she was a performer, and at the age of Nathalie was just three years old, her parents enrolled her in the singing, dancing and acting classes. Emmanuel was a talented actor, who was developing rapidly. As of the middle of the 90s she performed the role of her role as a little Nala in "The The Lion King" a West End musical that received rave reviews. Emmanuel had auditioned for roles in TV and film when she was just a teenager. The actress got her first major break in 2007 when she became Sasha Valentine on the British soap opera "Hollyoaks" (Channel 4, 1995- ). Emmanuel played the part for four years until dropping the show in 2010. The next major breakthrough for Emmanuel followed three years later. she was cast in the role of Missandei in the role of interpreter for the character Daenerys Targaryen (portrayed by Emilia Clarke), on HBO's "Game of Thrones." Emmanuel was a participant in every seasons of HBO's "Game of Thrones" until the final episode which aired in May.
